"Afterwards my wife heard there were tickets being sold on the official Miley Cyrus fanclub site and she put in a Google search. A site came up that looked very official so she purchased tickets."

Frank's wife Martina paid EUR260 for tickets for birthday girl Niamh and her sister Leona, nine, plus an adult ticket, but when the tickets had not shown up by a month later they got suspicious.

LATE LATE MILEY-STONE

MILEY mania will hit the Late Late Show this week when she's grilled by host Ryan Tubridy but the teen sensation has refused to appear live.

Instead, the 17-year-old will record the interview hours before the programme is due to air on Friday night. Her minders hope this will help avoid any of the embarrassments that dogged her appearance on Jonathan Ross earlier this year.

Although the Late Late prides itself as one of the world's only live chat shows, bosses at Montrose were prepared to do whatever is takes to land the Hannah Montana star.
